Supporting a wide range of video, audio, and data formats, Evertz is able to provide dark fiber transport solutions for any application. Leveraging Evertz CWDM / DWDM, Optical splitting, EDFA, Regeneration products, these applications can include short haul intra-facility, long haul inter-facility, studio connectivity, venues and events, OB vans, and remote production applications. Evertz dark fiber solutions provide connectivity up to 12G-SDI with minimal latency.

12G Video
With the proliferation of 4K and UHD production in media and broadcast, Evertz fiber optic transport platform has a solution to faciliate moving 12G-SDI and 4K/UHD HDMI over fiber. The 3406FR and SCORPION platforms allow for high density and flexible multi format fiber transport solutions for 12G workflows.

Multiplexing and Demultiplexing
For applications with limited fiber, solutions leveraging CWDM and DWDM multiplexing and demultiplexing can reduce the requirement for number of fiber strands between locations. These MUX/ DEMUX solutions can provide a cost reduction needing fewer leased fibers, or can provide increased capacity across existing fiber infrastructure allowing increased quantity of signals over the same fiber.

Amplification and Regeneration
Evertz can provide solutions for wavelength shifters and amplifiers to extend signals in long haul optical fiber applications. Available in boost, inline and pre-amp configurations, the different models cover various transmission scenarios at points all along fiber paths. Wavelength shifters across both the CWDM spectrums are also available.

Switches and Splitters
Evertz can provide solutions for autochangover and optical protection switches and combiners as a part of optical transport solutions. High Density Video Platforms
Evertz high density 3405, 3505, and 3406 transport platforms offer high-capacity bulk optical conversion With the ability to scale from 2 to 128 optical to electrical or electrical to optical conversions performed in a single frame. The chassis' utilize SFP interfaces that can be customized to meet endpoint requirements including functions along side electrical to optical conversion such as distribution amplifiers, autochangovers, regenerators, shifters, and CWDM and DWDM multiplexing.

3406FR can be customized using up to 18 SFP interfaces to define the quantity and direction of signals at an endpoint. Devices are pluggable and hot swappable for ease of maintenance and operation while there are options for dual transmitter, receiver, and multiple outputs even CWDM for longer distances can be populated as desired.

SCORPION miniature input and output modules (MIOs) allow for ingest of video, audio, Ethernet and data into SCORPION media processing platforms. Supporting a wide range of different signal types, conversion, and processing features, these MIOs combined with SCORPION enclosures and software services allow for a high degree of customization and flexibility for many applications and workflows.
