Evertz' MIO-DM-SAT and MIO-CAM2 series are complete hardware-based solutions for demodulating digital DVB-S/S2/S2X satellite signals and provide CA decryption. Applications include signal reception for broadcasters, cable/DTH/IPTV providers and other operators who need to receive and utilize or re-distribute satellite content.
The MIO-DM-SAT is a high-performance, dual-slot MIO module designed for seamless integration within any Evertz SCORPION chassis. Each MIO module supports quad-demodulation functionality.
The quad RF input version (MIO-DM-SAT4) provides independent RF inputs per demodulator, whereas the single (MIO-DM-SAT1) and dual (MIO-DM-SAT2) RF input versions provide internal RF distribution to multiple demodulators for a convenient solution, eliminating the need for external RF distribution.
MIO-CAM2 is a dual-slot module that provides dual DVB-CI CAM slots for CA decryption using customer-supplied DVB-CI compliant modules.
In addition to robust signal demodulation, the MIO-DM-SAT series offers comprehensive monitoring capabilities for key performance metrics, including RF power, lock status, Es/No ratio and margin, L-Band frequency, MER, BER, packet errors, constellation diagrams and more. This extensive monitoring suite empowers operators not only to receive satellite signals but also remotely assess and maintain optimal signal quality across all channels.

LNB powering with selectable 13V/18V and 22kHz tone provided on two RF inputs (applies to RF Input 1 and 3 in the case of MIO-DM-SAT4 version).
For enhanced flexibility, DVB-S2X support is available on a per-channel basis through optional software licensing.
MIO-DM-SAT and MIO-CAM2 modules can be seamlessly integrated with a range of other MIO modules within a SCORPION chassis, enabling users to develop highly flexible and customized media solutions. This configuration allows for the execution of demodulation, decryption, transcoding, encoding, decoding and more within the same chassis.
