The EQT-1616-12G is a revolutionary design enclosed in a compact 1RU frame, it is capable of high level integrated functionalities outlined below along with routing up to 16 input and 16 output 12GB/s signals. This routing solution was designed with mission critical 24/7 environments applications in mind that also require demanding and advanced functional needs.

This EQT uses format independent data paths to supports digital signals from 3MB/s all the way up to 12GB/s. Boasting forward-looking hardware to support integrated functionalities such as its single-link 4K to quad-link 4K and quad-link 4K to single-link 4K conversion and other license enabled functionalities.

The clean video switch and Evertz® patented SoftSwitch™ technology are a software license enabled feature, they provides 4 clean and quiet outputs that allow seamless video switching and embedded audio with audible pops eliminated during switching. The EQT clean switch feature is ideal for use in master control 4K applications as a bypass router or a simple Master Control itself, supporting one quad-link 4K deterministically routed or 4 single-link 4K clean switching paths. Additionally there are Auxiliary IO ports that can be used for TDM audio to embedded audio on the video bus as another software license enabled feature.

Configuration • The EQT is housed in a 1RU frame, the IO can be populated with 12GB/s or 3GB/s based SFPs.

Expansion • The EQT utilizes SFPs for the IO and can me populated in blocks of 1x1 up to its maximum size of 16x16.

Technical • The EQT router offers a full 12GB/s bandwidth to handle uncompressed 4K single link HD signals. In addition, automatic bit rate detection on the input equalizer allows any mix of 12G, 3G, HD and SD signals in the same unit. All outputs are relocking and user configurable.

The EQT router has a number of control options:

  • Local Control Panel • Provides easy access to all crosspoints.
  • Remote Control Panel • Provides remote easy access to all crosspoints form a control panel connected via Ethernet to the EQT router.
  • External Third Party Control • The EQT router can be remotely controlled via an external third party control device, such as an automation system, via Ethernet, serial or GPI control.
  • 12G-SDI to Quad-Link 3G-SDI translation
  • Quad-Link 3G-SDI to 12G-SDI translation
  • Front panel or remote control panel options available
  • The EQT supports HD-SDI, 3G-SDI, 12G-SDI and 2sI Quad-Link 3G-SDI
  • Standard Redundant power supply
  • Output reclocking (On/Off)
  • Units can be genlocked so that a 'Clean Switch' can be achieved
  • Software enabled embedded SoftSwitch™ technology eliminates hot-switch audio pops on embedded audio
  • Full VistaLINK® PRO command & control, SNMP
