Evertz EQX Routing Technology Audit Program
Evertz has created a program that allows customers to take stock of their current technology resources and provide options to meet their long term business objectives. Evertz will work with EQX customers to develop a cost-effective plan to extend the life of and future proof their existing EQX systems.
Evertz Core Routing Technology Audit enables customers to capture their current technology resources that are used for core routing within their broadcast facility or OB application. The audit program includes a full day, on-site visit to perform an audit on the existing technology hardware and software assets. The audit will collect system information (but not limited to):
- Catalog full list of audited hardware and software assets
- Configuration files for hardware and software assets
- Current firmware and software versions for the assets
- Log files and status reports from each type of asset
Once the information has been collected, Evertz will systematically review the data and assess the existing system. The audit team will provide the following information in a detailed report:
- High-risk or critical issues
- Maintenance and upgrade options
- Potential Replacements
- Greenfield options
Evertz will review the report with customers and identify the best path forward that meets their long term business needs.
Take Advantage of new EQX Features
The new EQX features are available to all customers with existing EQXs since 2012. For customers, that are looking to modernize their existing 3G/HD-SDI EQX routing system, Evertz is introducing an upgrade path to take advantage of these new technologies without the need to re-wire or re-build their current facility. By participating in our Core Technology Audit Program, customers will see what updates are required on their current systems, thus allowing them to take advantage of these new features.
This upgrade will allow customers to extend their existing EQX routers and MAGNUM control systems to be future proof (for a transition to IP/ST-2110 or 12G-SDI) and support for work from home (WFH) using our VUE Anywhere. This is a cost-effective approach to enable future capability while deferring larger technology updates and expenditures to a later date.
An investment in the EQX continues to be an investment for the future.
EQX Routing Technology Expands to UHD and ST-2110
Our flagship EQX router family continues to be the cornerstone of any SDI-based broadcast facility. With the introduction of 12G-SDI and ST-2110 (over 100GbE) Gateway I/O modules for UHD, Evertz continues to expand the features set of the EQX family.
New Modules
EQX-IP18AD
18 port input card with audio de-embedders and license keys to enable IP Gateway for ST-2110 over 25/100GE, 18 independent frame sync paths, UHD, and other additional processing capabilities. The HD-BNC rear plate is included, QSFP for IP connections are sold separately.
EQX-OP18AE
18 port output module with audio embedders and license keys to enable IP Gateway for ST-2110 over 25/100GE, 18 independent frame sync paths, UHD, and other additional processing capabilities. The HD-BNC rear plate is included, QSFP for IP connections are sold separately.
