The MIO-TG produces 4 independent test signals delivered in SMPTE 2110 with SMPTE 2022-7 redundancy with main and backup redundant SDI outputs. The MIO-TG supports generating 2xHD/3G/UHD as well as 2xHD/3G test signals over SDI, these test signals will also be broadcast over IP with a main and a backup. This means that the MIO-TG will have the flexibility to go in any studio - SDI, IP or hybrid SDI/IP.
The MIO-TG supports single essence UHD single essence, or UHD 2SI. Each test signal supports 16x channels of audio, these channels are user configurable in either 4 groups of 4 channels or 2 groups of 8 channels, with each channel having independent tone frequency and level control.

The MIO-TG supports up to 16 user-loadable test signal images using a simple PNG. Controls are provided to display two lines of text per test signal to aid in signal and source identification and / or to display burn-in time code on any test pattern.

Integration

The MIO-TG is designed to integrate into baseband facilities with black burst or tri-level sync input to the separately purchased Scorpion frame or to use PTP with SMPTE 2059-2 or AES67 or IEEE Annex J profiles as its timing source. This allows for the MIO-TG to fit comfortably into any facility whether it be SDI, IP or hybrid.

The MIO-TG is easily integrated into any control room or network operations center. It supports webpage user interface management, NMOS integration, REST-API, and SNMP. This means the MIO-TG supports most third-party orchestration, operations and network management software as well as Evertz' own critically acclaimed VistaLINK PRO, MAGNUM-NMS, and MAGNUM-SDVN software.
