AS400 Programmer/Analyst

The successful candidate will be responsible for development and maintenance of AS/400 business systems. They must demonstrate analytical and creative problem solving abilities, work well with time constraints, and be highly motivated to learn and to apply knowledge.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain custom business applications and be part of a small development team
- Analyze system issues and design, code and test system solutions which will resolve the issues
- Other duties as required to support AS/400 users
Qualifications:
- Post secondary diploma/degree in related field
- Strong RPG, RPGLE, SQLRPGLE and CL with a minimum 5 years programming experience
- Highly developed written, verbal, and presentation communication skills that effectively articulates complex technical concepts to a diverse and, at times, non-technical audience at all levels in the organization
- Be results oriented, self-motivated and a team player
Desired Skills:
- Ability to work with team members to understand the business requirements and assist with the development of effective solutions to meet the client's needs
- Experience with creating APIs and data sharing to other non-AS400 systems
- Analytical and problem-solving / troubleshooting skills
