Mediator-X Success Stories

AMC Networks
AMC's main goal for this project was to design and implement a state-of-the-art playout cluster for the Chello-Latin America group of channels. To begin with, the system design needed to accommodate sixteen channels of playout and all associated file based content prep workflows. It also had to be extremely scalable in order to support future growth, as well as operationally efficient and deployable within an aggressive schedule. Physical space and power constraints further complicated the design approach.

Mediaset
Mediaset S.p.A, Italy's largest commercial broadcaster, has undertaken a major modernization of its playout and channel origination infrastructure. With a portfolio of 20 channels and a prime-time audience share exceeding 35%, Mediaset needed a scalable, future-proof solution that would streamline operations, enhance resilience, and support live sports, news and thematic content. To achieve this, Mediaset selected Evertz's industry-leading Mediator automation platform alongside the Overture RT Live playout engine, MAGNUM-OS orchestration, and VUE control interfaces.

TG4
Broadcast workflow specialists Evertz have completed a major upgrade project for leading Irish language broadcaster TG4, which has seen the broadcaster's Digital Asset Management (DAM) system move to Mediator-X. The project involved replacing TG4's HP blade hardware-based Mediator 4.7 flash UI with Evertz' flagship VMware platform Mediator-X HTML5 UI, a highly scalable and infrastructure agnostic platform that can handle Media Asset Management (MAM), Transmission Playout and Non-Linear Delivery.
