Production Microscope Soldering Technician

Responsibilities:
- Perform SMT and through‑hole hand soldering in a production manufacturing environment
- Execute soldering, desoldering, and rework of single and multiple components on populated printed circuit boards
- Perform rework and replacement of fine‑pitch, QFN, and BGA components, including:
- Controlled component removal using appropriate rework techniques
- Site preparation, pad cleaning, and inspection
- Accurate component alignment and placement under microscope
- Utilize soldering irons, hot‑air or rework equipment, microscopes, desoldering tools, and solder removal equipment as required
- Read and interpret PCB assembly drawings, Bills of Materials (BOMs), Engineering Change Orders (ECOs), and assembly/work instructions
- Follow established PCB assembly processes, component installation sequencing, and rework procedures
- Inspect workmanship using a microscope to verify solder joint quality and compliance with standards
- Perform other related duties as assigned in support of production and business objectives
Qualifications:
- Proven experience with fine‑pitch soldering using a microscope
- Demonstrated experience reworking populated PCBs, including multi‑pin and area‑array components (e.g., BGAs, QFNs)
- Strong manual dexterity with excellent speed, accuracy, and attention to detail
- Ability to read and interpret technical documentation including blueprints, schematics, ECOs, and BOMs
- Comfortable performing microscope‑based soldering and rework for extended periods
- Solid understanding of PCB assembly, rework processes, and electronic manufacturing practices
