The MIO-PTP is a very flexible small form factor PTP and baseband timing solution. It can be the heart of a small timing system where basic requirements of analog sync and / or PTP are required. In other roles it can be deployed as a top of rack PTP-locked sync pulse generator for hybrid timing systems to provide analog reference timing signals instead of installing a separate baseband distribution network of distribution amplifiers. The MIO-PTP can also be deployed to extend timing over managed IP networks to venues and arenas where GNSS antenna installation is not permitted.

The MIO-PTP's Oven Controlled Crystal Oscillator can be locked to PTP or GNSS with user selectable revertive or non-revertive failover / fail back. It provides two independently configurable analog sync outputs that support Black Burst with or without VITC, Tri-Level Sync, Word Clock, 10MHz and several other bespoke reference signals. It also has dedicated +1PPS and -1PPS output on separate HDBNC connections. The GNSS antenna connection supports Evertz multi-GNSS, dual band GPSII-A720 antennae using familiar and easy to deploy cabling consistent with other Evertz Master Clock products; or with the use of the optional MSC-RF-ADPT-720, the MIO-PTP can use a RF GNSS antenna such as the Protempis Bullet antennae that the Evertz MSC-RF-HEAD-720 is based on.

A part of Evertz' SCORPION family, the MIO-PTP is extremely flexible in form factor for deployment. For instance, it can be installed in the very compact SCORPION-2F frame that occupies less than half a square foot of space. The MIO-PTP can also be installed in other SCORPION frames, including the SCORPION-6F and SCORPION-S18 and SCORPION-SX18. It supports up to 2x PTP network ports and 2x WAN (requires +WAN option) at up to 10GB/s speed, and up to 2x control network ports depending on the frame and frame options.
