Introducing the all-new 5800MSC sync, time code, PTP and test signal generator. It brings you a second-to-none complete broadcast timing solution with a leading combination of precision and robustness for the needs of any facility, today and for many years to come. The 5800MSC is available with traditional black burst, tri-level sync word clock and DARS reference signals, as well as PTP with SMPTE ST 2059-2, AES67 and IEEE Annex J profiles to support SDI, IP and hybrid workflow timing requirements.
The all-new live web user interface gives you an immersive and dynamic user experience with interactive dashboards that constantly update the status of the 5800MSC input reference. Easy to use controls and on-device user manual make configuring the 5800MSC easy with every-day language and intuitive menus.

New user interface features such as the GNSS signal graphs, two-click packet captures. live syslog viewer and visual test signal pattern selection make the 5800MSC easy to navigate and quickly and efficiently gather operational information.
The new hardware design incorporates easy to add, customer-installable modules to add features without need to return to the factory. If you need to add a test signal generator or sync pulse generator option, it's just a plug-and-play addition using only a Phillips screwdriver. Each module contains its own dedicated CPU, FPGA and memory, further adding robustness by isolating critical resources for input reference and PTP; sync pulse, word clock, DARS and time code generation; test signal generation; and web user interface. The secured full color touchscreen front panel makes it easy to check status and configuration and/or configure the 5800MSC while in the equipment room.
New robustness is offered in the dual-multi-GNSS antenna inputs with user selectable revertive failover that also supports failover from PTP to GNSS and failover from GNSS to PTP. The GNSS constellations supported include GPS, GLONASS, GALILEO, BEIDOU and QZSS; all with dual-band L1 and L5 operation for significantly greater satellite signal reception even in challenging locations.
