********************************************************* * This firmware supports the following products: * *-------------------------------------------------------* * QT-0808H QT-0808S QT-1616-AA QT-1616H QT-1616N * * QT-1616S QT-3232H QT-3232-AA QT-3232N QT-3232S * ********************************************************* version 5.89 (April 5, 2011) --------------------------------------------------------- - Added support for the following commands in Probel SW-P-08 -48 Protocol: - Added a user control for unsolicited updates being returned to the controller - Corrected issue in Leitch Passthrough protocol. Only send back a '>' (chevron) to the controlling device if the router is ready to receive a new command. - Increased TOTAL_PORTS from 4 to 8. - Allow network info to be dumped to the log port when DIP2 is up on power up. Changes affect ALL the Topaz Routers in the QT- series. There are four builds of this code for each version released. All builds have the Quartz (-1) Protocol. PC391H-1.589.sr has the following protocols: TSL UMD -2 (Quartz controls UMD) NVISION -9 (Quartz controls NVision) PROBEL2 -13 (Probel controls Quartz) PROBEL2 -27 (Quartz controls Probel) LEITCH PASSTHROUGH -49 (Leitch controls Quartz) PC391H-2.589.sr has the following protocols: JUPITER ASCII -39 (Jupiter controls Quartz) PSP -47 (PSP controls Quartz) SANDAR PROSAN -51 (Sandar controls Quartz) PC391H-3.589.sr Local Panel build and has no other protocols. PC391H-4.589.sr GVG200 -42 (Quartz controls GVG) PROBEL8 -48 (Probel controls Quartz) If Firmware Manager is being used directly to program the router then these files should be used as they are. NOTE: It is very important that a 75 Ohm terminator be attached to one of the QLink BNC connectors when programming the router in this way, otherwise the programming process will fail and the flash device will need to be erased and reprogrammed with a Prom Programmer. If a Prom Programmer is being used to program the flash device, then the files with bi_ prepended to the filename should be used. These files contain the bootloader as well as the executable. Firmware Manager may be used to create the bi_ files by clicking on General > Convert (BOOTLOAD.106.sr) > Use (Select Firmware) Drill down to where the four executable files are, select one of them and click Open. This will create the bi_ file. Clicking Save will save the new file in the same folder as the original. When the router is running, the protocols that it supports may be determined by using the Quartz command .$PROT .$SWVER will return the software version.
