******************************************************** * This firmware is for the following product: * *------------------------------------------------------* * 5601MSC * ******************************************************** version 2v12_7 (June 10, 2022) ------------------------------------------------------- Support RES-720 GPS receiver. Fix Payload ID. version 2v12_5 (June 29, 2021) ------------------------------------------------------- GPS enable now remains the same after reboot. GPS enable is always visible on menu. PTP Profile AES67 sync and announce rates now remains the same after reboot. version 2v12_2 (February 11, 2021) ------------------------------------------------------- The GPS lock has been improved to for better locking in poor signal conditions. A control has been added which allows a margin of drift before aggressively following. This margin can be set from 0 to 50uS. 0 is effectively turning off this feature. About 0.3 hours is added to the time that 5601MSC can holdover in per uS. This only applies after the 5601MSC has warmed up for 30 minutes. The intent is to allow the 5601MSC to hold over in areas where there is significant signal degradation due to interference, or spoofing. This control is in the GENERAL -> EngineeringMenu -> DisturbanceProt -> [0..50] menu. Additionally, the NTP li flag now will take two days to flag a sync loss if it was previously GPS locked. This should get rid of false lock warnings from downstream equipment. Fix payload in quad mode. 89 instead of 97. Gets version info from GPS antenna and shows it in the STATUS menu. Improved current precision calculations in PTP. Ptp will not leave INITIALIZING state when the 5601MSC is still trying to lock Move the 16x9 bin from payload ID byte 3.7 to 3.5 if not LEVEL A The delay request rate is now limited to 240 per second, and not 1200. It prevents the Master from being overwhelmed. Changed the syslog controls to be the same as the 5700MSC-IP. It has seperate controls for PTP and System syslogs. Announce message id counts now increment by 1 and not 2. Added R (redraw) to menu front panel mode (TDISP). Added []{} to menu front panel mode (TDISP) to increment/decerement by 10/100. Added an extra page of PTP status to the front panel STATUS menus. Syslog now only sends on changes or 15 min timeout in level 1, and is throttled to 1 per second in level 2. Field flag is now set correctly in SDI SMPTE 12-2 timecode. Add leading 0's to GPS antenna version display version 2v9_4 (March 26, 2018) ------------------------------------------------------- Test with an Acutime 360 version 2v9_4 (November 23, 2017) ------------------------------------------------------- SNMP/VistaLINK operates correctly when reading and writing the entire system settings. STATUS no longer indicates that a REBOOT was needed falsely. (in IP settings) Lat/Long in LTC/VITC corrected. PTP BMC improved. PTP announce message has the latest priority values. May not have two PTP masters in one domain SMPTE 12-2 LTC in SDI have dropframe and colour frame flags set correctly. Increased the range of the LTC/VITC offset in frames from +/125 to +/-1000 version 2v7_5 (November 18, 2015) ------------------------------------------------------- Adds a control to allow SMTE-2059 profile. When enabled, it changes the range of sync and announce message rates. Embedded audio in TGs do not have buzz in SD if SMPTE 12-2 was enabled previously in HD. version 2v6_12 (April 13, 2015) ------------------------------------------------------- In 2.6.6, If the Glonass option was not in use, it may have falsely reported that GPS is not enabled. PTP now correctly reports clock class and accuracy. Modem now works in NRC mode. Moved SMPTE 12-2 to line 10. Supports new front panel. (backward compatible with old panel.) Add support for Legacy Leitch clocks to set DST using Auxiliary bits. Add SNMP/VistaLINK support for PTP controls. version 2v6_6 (October 24, 2014) ------------------------------------------------------- -Correction of possible lock issue when locked to GPS using Acutime GG antenna. -SMPTE 12-2 available on all 4 TG outputs when in HD, 3G, or Dual Link modes. -Corrected VistaLINK alarms -Improved SNMP reliability -Updated PTP to support BMC -Improved logging version 2v6_3 (June 11, 2014) ------------------------------------------------------- Features. Support for IEEE-1588 / PTP. (if option is included) Support for Ultra HD test signals. (if option is included) FTP upgrade of application and test signals. IEEE-1588/PTP operates in master mode only. Settings are in the “GENERAL -> PTP master” menu. Ultra HD (aka 4K) enabled in “OUTPUT->TG Settings” menu. When this is enabled, all 4 SDI test generators work together to form 1 Ultra High Definition test generator. FTP. To use this, from a DOS command or Unix, enter ftp IP, where IP is the IP address of the 5601MSC. For example “ftp 192.168.192.175” For “User”, press enter. For “Password:”, use the password of the 5601MSC. (default is 5601). To send the application, the ftp must be enabled. “GENERAL -> Firmware -> Enable FTP” will enable sending files to the 5601MSC for 15 minutes. Commands. dir, send, get, delete. To send a test signal, “send filename filename”. Eg “send ts1920smscHDq1.evt ts1920smscHDq1.evt” To send the application, “send filename a:5601MSC.bin” Where filename is the name of the file in the computer. Eg “send 5601MSC_2v5b4.bin A:5601MSC.bin” It is recommended to use the hash command if in DOS command, to show activity. It will take about 6 seconds to send the application. After it has been sent, enter “bye” to exit ftp. At this time, the 5601MSC will store the downloaded file into its flash memory, and reboot. It will take about 3 minutes to store the application. During this time, DO NOT TURN OFF THE POWER TO THE 5601MSC. If power is interrupted, the code will have to be reloaded via the com port. Progress can be seen on the front panel. version 2v6_2 (June 2, 2014) ------------------------------------------------------- Features. Support for IEEE-1588 / PTP.
