Planning Assistant

Ensure the smooth and accurate Flow of materials, to achieve Sales Shipping Objectives.

Responsibilities:

  • BOM’s – create BOM’s / Routings using the download program and buildsheets. Review Production ECO’s. Execute relavent ECO’s, update BOM’s based on the new build sheet. Post build sheet on line.ECO’s. Update WIP runs with the Current BOM.
  • Inventory Control. This involves executing GOTO’s, filling MO’s, updating On hand, editing WIP runs.
  • Assist in buying PCB’s. Edit and Maintain PO Dates. Communicate with Vendors and ENG on PCB manufacturing issues.
  • Analysis inventory problems. Negatives on hand or inaccurate numbers.
  • Expedite Shorts with Purchasing to ensure Manufacturing achieves shipping goals.
  • Analysis SS and Purchasing Lead-times to recommend revised SS amounts.
  • Analysis MRP - Recommend revised MRP quantites then update at the FG level.
  • Help plan and execute physical counts and cycle counts as needed.
  • Assist in creation of Licenses keys for sales.
  • Analysis inventory variances to improve the supply / demand accuracy.
  • Control and set-up “Kit Configuration Program” to ensure proper costing and Material Planning. Update List Prices for FG’s and Plus options to sync with the Price List.
  • Communicate with Purchasing, Inside Sales, RMA, R&D (PM’s, ENG’s), and Manufacturing.
  • Perform month end closing activities
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications:

  • University or College graduate in Business Management or Operations Management.
  • Strong Computer skills utilizing Microsoft Office
  • Experience in prioritizing tasks
  • Ability to work as part of a team, as well as independently
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
  • Experienced in using ERP / MRP systems is a asset
  • Related manufacturing experience an asset
